Congratulations to Carter Gerome for being selected as the Mass Hockey Coaches Association Player of the Week last week. Carter netted three goals and an assist. Well done!
The SHS alumni game has been set for Saturday, January 26th at the Asiaf Arena to help celebrate 50 years of Stoughton hockey. Puck drop is at 4:10 PM. There will be an alumni dinner following the game at the Last Shot in Stoughton (539 Washington Street). The class of 1968 will be honored at the varsity game against Taunton following the game.
Rink directions for both the men and the women's games have been updated and posted on the rinks page.
The SHS varsity men were defeated 9-3 by the Foxboro Warriors in recent game action on Saturday evening, January 12 at the Foxboro Sports Center. Sean Doherty scored a pair of third period goals and Colin Alessi added a third period score as well. Thomas McCoy made 27 saves in net. The men head to Franklin next for a game with the Franklin Panthers at Staff Sgt. Parilli Arena in Franklin on Wednesday night, January 16th. Faceoff time is set for 6:00 PM.
The SHS varsity women were defeated in their most recent contest, 6-0 at the hands of Cohasset/Hanover at the Zapustas Arena in Randolph on Saturday, January 12th. The women return to action on Wednesday evening, January 16th, as they will battle St. Joseph's Prep/Mt. Alvernia at the Asiaf Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM.
