In the 7th annual Guns and Hoses Charity Game, the SHS Police Department snapped a two game losing streak, edging the SHS Fire Department in a 4-3 victory. The Police Department now holds a 5-2 all time edge in the all time season series. The actual event raised $3152 for the Stoughton hockey program. Also special thanks goes out to the Prone Family Foundation for their generous donation which raised the silent auction winnings to $1730. And finally thanks go out to the Canton Sportsplex for their donation of ice time for the event.

Jim McSweeney (dad of Ryan - SHS Hockey Team) has organized a skills clinic on Monday and Thursday evenings beginning April 4th, and ending July 25th. Monday clinics will be at 8PM in April and May, and at 6 PM beginning June 17th. All Thursday clinics will be at 7PM. Cost is $250 per skater. This is a great way for the kids to keep up their skating skills and be ready for next season. All interested should contact Jim McSweeney for more details.

 

The Black Knights were the recipient of the James F. Mulloy Sportsmanship Award in 2012-13, the second consecutive season that they captured the award. Congrats to the varsity squad for a job well done!

 

The Black Knights were defeated 4-3 by the North Attleboro Red Rocketeers in their season finale on February 22 at the Foxboro Sports Center. Mark Sheehan scored twice for the Knights and Albert Smith added a goal for Stoughton. Paul Sheehan finished off a stellar season by turning aside 46 North Attleboro shots. Congrats go out to the varsity squad, who despite finishing with a 3-15-2 record, gave their all every night!
