Game Summary:  Bishop Feehan broke a scoreless tie early in the second period, going on to score eight times in the frame, to send the Black Knights to a 9-1 defeat at the Asiaf Arena. Connor Heffernan broke into the scoring column in the second period, set up by Josh Rubenstein, for the only Stoughton score of the night. Paul Sheehan turned aside 24 Feehan shots in net for the black and orange.

SUPREME DEVELOPMENT HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT, GAME 1

 

Game Summary:  Dedham's Jason Riley scored a hat trick, and goaltender Jim Riley stopped all 15 shots he faced to lead the Marauders to a 6-0 victory over the Black Knights in Game 1 of the annual Dedham tournament. The Knights were outshot 44-15 in the contest and Dedham did not receive a power play in the game. It marked the fourth straight game from the start of the season in which no special teams goals were scored by either team.

Game Summary:   Larry Hixon scored twice, including Stoughton's first power play goal of the season, but in the end the Knights were edged out 3-2 by the Brookline Warriors in the consolation game of the Supreme Development Holiday Tournament in Dedham. Hixon would record his first two goals of the season (both unassisted) and Stoughton scored multiple goals for the first time in a game this season. Paul Sheehan turned aside 38 shots in a strong effort between the pipes.

Game Summary: Josh Potter and Dave Campbell scored late third period goals to give the Black Knights their first win of the season, a stirring 2-1 comeback win over the Foxboro Warriors at the Foxboro Sports Center. Trailing 1-0 after two periods, Potter let go a seeing eye shot from the point that travelled through a screen and eluded Foxboro goaltender Melissa Almeida. Less than two minutes later, Campbell slapped in a shot from the far faceoff dot to put Stoughton ahead to stay. The Knights posted the victory despite being outshot 34-17 in the contest. Paul Sheehan earned his first varsity win in goal.

Game Summary:  Sean Kyne scored twice and Justin Davidner chipped in with a pair of assists to power the Oliver Ames Tigers to a 5-0 victory over the Black Knights at the Asiaf Arena. Goaltender Jimmy Tierney earned the shutout win for the Tigers in goal. The bright spot for the Knights was the stellar play of goaltender Paul Sheehan, who turned aside 62 OA shots in the defeat.

Game Summary:  Erik Foley potted a pair of goals and two assists and Adam Blackman chipped in with three points as well to lead the Mansfield Hornets to a 6-0 victory over Stoughton at the Asiaf Arena in a Martin Luther King Jr. day matinee. Hornet goaltender Christian DeBeauport earned the shutout with nine saves. For the Black Knights, Paul Sheehan was strong in net again, blocking 35 Mansfield shots.

Josh Rubenstein tallied his first goal of the season for the Knights, snapping a four game team scoreless streak. Paul Sheehan stopped 29 Bombardier shots in the loss.

Game Summary:   Franklin's Mark Teehan notched a hat trick, and Mike Patjane chipped in with two goals and two assists to power the Franklin Panthers to an 8-0 victory over the Black Knights at the Staff Sergeant Robert Ryan Parilli Arena in Franklin. The Panthers, who outshot the Knights 46-8 in the contest, clinched a playoff spot with the win. Paul Sheehan took the defeat in goal, stopping 38 shots in 42:30 minutes of work. Ethan Rawl closed out the game for Stoughton, not facing any shots.

Game Summary:  Josh Rubenstein's goal with 2:39 remaining vaulted the Black Knights into a 3-3 tie with the Foxboro Warriors at the Asiaf Arena. The deadlock allowed Stoughton to capture the season series from Foxboro with a 1-0-1 record. Larry Hixon chipped in with his team leading third goal of the season and Ryan McSweeney potted his first varsity goal. Paul Sheehan stopped 21 Foxboro shots in net. McSweeney's tally came on the power play, Stoughton's second extra man goal of the season. Rubenstein finished with a season high goal and two assists. Owen Campbell scored twice for the Warriors.

Derek Johnson scored a goal and added an assist as well, as OA became the third team this season to clinch a playoff berth with a victory over Stoughton (Canton and Franklin being the others). Game Summary:  Cody Braga scored twice and senior goaltender Patrick Nicholson turned aside 15 shots to lead the Middleboro Sachems to a 5-1 victory over the Stoughton Black Knights at the Bridgewater Ice Arena in non-league action. Jamie Connors broke Nicholson's bid for a shutout, scoring with :12 remaining in the game to put Stoughton on the board. Corey Greenblatt and John Catrone also notched assists on the goal, as all three players picked up their first points of the season. Paul Sheehan made 25 saves in net. Middleboro swept the season series 2-0 with the win, their tenth of the season.
