Game Recap:   Max Hess scored a hat trick and Mike Bonito chipped in with a pair of goals to pace the Bourne Canalmen to an 8-1 victory over the Stoughton Black Knights in the season opener at the Bourne Canalmen Classic. Liam Center added a pair of assists for Bourne, who built a 3-0 first period lead. Josh Hough potted the only goal for the Knights with 44 seconds remaining in the second period. Brendan Campbell and Sean Doherty added assists on the goal. Thomas McCoy made his debut in goal and finished with 20 saves.

Game Recap:  Mike Goroshko and Marc Giordano each scored hat tricks, (Goroshko's a first period natural hat trick), while Dante Raffia had three assists and Matt Cravotta added a goal and two assists to lead the Revere/Malden Patriots to an 11-5 win over the Black Knights at the Gallo Arena in the third place game of the Canalmen tourney. The Black Knights also had multiple goal scorers, as Luke Bainton and Sean Doherty each had a pair of goals for Stoughton. Brendan Campbell would add four assists in the offensive production. Matt Brown also scored his first varsity goal. Thomas McCoy stopped 18 shots in goal for the Knights, who dropped to 0-2-0 on the season.

Game Recap:  Myles Walther scored a pair of goals and Ben Winslow added three assists to power the Nauset Warriors to a 7-1 win over the Black Knights in the opening game of the SJP 2 Hockey Faceoff Tournament in Hyannis. Eric Sargysan added a goal and assist for Nauset, who built a 4-1 lead after 1 period. Sean Doherty would score the only goal for the Black Knights in the first period. Jimmy Manning added a pair of assists for the Lions in the win. On the Stoughton side, Brendan Campbell and Sean Doherty lit the lamp. Game Recap:  Brendan Campbell scored four goals, including the game tying goal with 1:31 remaining and added a pair of assists while Matt Brown added a goal and three assists as the Black Knights skated to a wild 7-7 tie with the Apponequet Lakers at the Driscoll Arena in Fall River. Josh Hough added two assists as well for the Black Knights, while Ryan McSwweeney and Sean Doherty also contributed with a goal apiece. Ethan Harrop scored twice for Apponequet, while Dylan Hanson and Andrew Cummings each had two helpers apiece. Campbell scored six points for the second time in his career, and did so for the second time in a calendar year, as he also was the last Black Knight player to score four goals and collect two assists in a single game, also turning the feat against Foxboro on February 20, 2017. The game was also penalty free, the first time that has happened in a Stoughton game since 2-1-17 in a game against North Attleboro.

Game Recap:  Brendan Tully scored twice and added an assist to lead the Foxboro Warriors to a 6-2 win over the Black Knights at the Asiaf Arena in Stoughton's home opener. Foxboro jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead and never looked back. Mike Nazzaro scored his first varsity goal and Sean Doherty chipped in with a goal nine seconds before the end of the second period. Thomas McCoy turned aside 15 shots in goal for the Black Knights, who fell to 0-5-1 on the season. Stoughton also played a penalty free game for the second consecutive game, the first time that has happened since 2008.

Game Recap:  William McCarthy scored twice and Brenden Heayden added a goal and two assists to power the Norton Lancers to a 6-2 non-league victory over the Black Knights at the Asiaf Arena. Norton would get on the scoresheet early in the first, just :37 in, and would extend the lead to 6-0 in the third before the Black Knights scored twice in the third to avert the shutout. Brendan Campbell and Matt Brown lit the lamp for the Knights, and each player assisted on the others goal. Thomas McCoy turned aside 19 shots in the defeat. Both Stoughton goals were scored on the power play.

Game Recap:  Three different goal scorers scored for Littleton to pace the Tigers to a 3-1 victory over the Black Knights at Staff Sergeant Parilli Veterans Arena in Franklin in Game 1 of the Bellingham Christmas Tournament. Shane Picariello, James Peterson and Jacob Montepeluso also scored for Littleton, while Matt Brown scored the lone goal for the Black Knights. Game Recap:    Matt Brown notched a hat trick, the first Stoughton player to notch a three goal game since Sean Doherty on 2-20-17 against Foxboro, to lead the Black Knights men's squad to their first victory of the 2017-18 season, 7-1 over Tri-County in the 3rd place game of the Bellingham Christmas Tournament. Brendan Campbell had a goal and four assists while Sean Doherty had a goal and three assists and Josh Hough and Mike Nazzaro each contributed a goal apiece. Goaltender Thomas McCoy notched his first varsity win as a goaltender, turning aside 8 of the 9 shots he faced.

Game Recap:  In the regular season finale for the Black Knights, Will Walsh netted a hat trick and Andrew Carter chipped in with three assists to lead the Taunton Tigers to an 8-3 victory over the Black Knights at the Asiaf Arena. Stoughton got goals from Matt Brown, Mike Nazarro, and Brendan Campbell in the contest. Campbell, Brown and Nazarro would finish with multi point games with a goal and an assist apiece. Thomas McCoy, who played the entire year in net, ended his season with a 27 save effort.
